Notification History Archive
Save and search notification history from the apps you choose. Requires iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 and a Shortcuts automation.
Set up notification capture
- Setup opens when you first launch the app. Tap Add Shortcut. You can reopen setup from Settings → Set Up Shortcuts.
- In Shortcuts, open Notification History Archive. Tap Edit if needed. At the top, select the apps to capture, including Notification History Archive, and turn on Automation.
- Return to the app. Allow notifications to send the setup test; the app only sends test alerts. Setup advances when the shortcut saves the test. If it is not captured, return to Shortcuts and check the selected apps and Automation switch.
- Use Choose Apps to add more apps. New notifications from the selected apps can then be saved.
If direct installation does not work, open setup’s three-dot menu and use Method 2. Share the shortcut file to Shortcuts. Manual instructions are also available in the menu.
Add more apps
Open Apps → More → Add More Apps for the illustrated guide. In Shortcuts, edit the notification trigger and tap + beside its app names. Keep Automation enabled.
A notification is missing
Capture starts after setup. The app cannot read Notification Center or recover notifications dismissed before the automation was enabled. Notification previews, permissions, and the information Shortcuts provides affect what is saved. After restarting your device, unlock it once before testing capture.
Use the prepared shortcut with Sender left empty. Some notifications have no sender, and asking Shortcuts to read a missing sender can interrupt capture.
Free history and subscriptions
The latest five hours of captured notifications are free to view. A monthly or yearly Full History subscription unlocks older stored notifications and JSON/CSV export. Older notifications remain stored unless you delete them or enable automatic deletion. Saved notifications are protected from automatic deletion, but still require a subscription to view after five hours.
To subscribe or restore a purchase, open Settings → Unlock Full History. The purchase screen includes Restore Subscription. Subscribers can open Settings → Manage Subscription to manage or cancel renewal with Apple. Canceling renewal keeps access until the current subscription period ends.
Delete or stop saving notifications
Swipe to delete a saved notification, or use Select for multiple items. Shake to undo a recent edit during the same app session. To stop future capture, disable the automation in Shortcuts. Deleting an archived copy does not remove the original notification in another app.
